Footbridge over footpath. Mid C18.
MATERIALS: Rubble, some tufa, cut stone to vaulting.
EXTERIOR: Single span arch on vertical abutments to tunnel-like bridge crossing sunken footpath. Built in part on natural rock outcrop. Opening approx 2.25m wide, rising to approx 2.5m at upper end of path, approx 3m at lower end; tunnel approx 4.5m long. Facades are rubble, with rough tufa voussoirs and some tufa to rough parapets, and walls and arch in carefully cut and coursed horizontal stone. At southern or higher end bridge contained in boundary walls to sunken path, at lower end has short return walls, approx 6m apart.
