Rockshute tomb in Smallcombe Cemetery

GV II

Chest tomb. c1873. Limestone. Early C18 style. Plinth. Chest with sunk panels supported by large consoles at either end. Cavetto cornice and slab top pedimented to long sides. Broken marble panel to top. Inscription to Thomas Rockshute, died 1873. Unusual style of tomb for date.
