Milestone. Early C19 (evidently there before the surrounding wall which was built in c1850). Limestone. Square pillar set into wall. Black painted panel incised `To BATH 2'. Road was engineered and maintained by the Bath Turnpike Trust and was much improved under the General Surveyor-ship of John Loudon McAdam 1826-1836.
