Detached house in own grounds. Late C18/early C19, with C20 additions, and extended as nursing home c1920.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, slate roofs with moulded stacks.
PLAN: Original block double depth plan.
EXTERIOR: Three storeys, three-window range to south facade. Coped parapet and cornice follow the contour of flat left hand range with altered windows and full height segmental-curved right hand range which has tripartite windows, three/six-pane sash flanked by two/four-pane sashes to attic, louvered shutters to full height six/six-pane sashes flanked glazed doors with similar panes to first and ground floors, trellised balcony to first floor and curved steps to ground floor. Second floor platband spanning curved bay altered to cornice on left hand bay that continues across lower three storey, three-window 1920 Georgian style block. Right return of original block has painted surrounds to six/six-pane sash windows to second floor, C20 conservatory over Georgian style porch flanked by six/six-pane sash to right of first floor and blind window to left. C20 door and window to ground floor.
