Description

Andrew Heiton Jnr, Architect. Dated 1869. Scottish Baronial.
Stugged ashlar with polished dressings. Entrance
elevation: 2 storeys over raised basement, asymmetrical.
Door in advanced crow-stepped gabled bay to left, with
roll moulded architrave and angled head; initials in
panel above with rope-patterned string extending over small
side lights; canted oriel to 1st floor. Tower in re-
entrant angle. Corbelled bartizan at south. South-east
garden elevation; Nearly symmetrical, with outer advanced
canted bays, corbelled above ground floor. Angles detailed
to give the appearance of turrets, with conical caps.
Heavily bracketed balcony to recessed ground floor windows.
Tall tower on north east elevation. Windows mainly mullion
and transom, those to 1st floor with steeply gabled heads.
All gabled bays crowstepped. Slate roof, with fish-scale turrets.
