Description

House; circa 1775, original 2-storey house with earlier
19th century 2-storey L-plan range added to south elevation,
providing a new 5-bay main front. All harled, tooled ashlar
margins and dressings. Advanced and gabled left (west)
2 bays; corniced entrance in 1st recessed bay. Rear
(original house) has 2 ground and 2 1st floor symmetrical
windows in east gable. 12-pane glazing; coped and panelled
end stacks; slate roof. Single storey, 3-bay service cottage
at west gable, with centre door and later gabled dormer
in NW; slate roof. Walled garden; coped, pinned rubble
semi-circular walled garden; 3 bee boles with ashlar lintels
and jambs in south face of north wall.
Gate piers; pair square ashlar gate piers with pyramidal caps.

Manse built about same time as church (1775) and by 1840

"has also received an addition and is now a handsome and

commodious residence."
