Description

Mid 18th century, 2-storey, wide 3-bay house; harled with
chamfered ashlar margins particularly wide to ground floor
windows. Symmetrical frontage; centre door masked by later
bowed porch with bowed and piended slate roof. 3 small
1st floor windows; 1 ground, 1 small 1st floor and 1
diminutive attic window in west gable; later single storey,
narrow 2 bay gables extension at east gable. 12-pane
glazing in ground floor windows, 6-pane in 1st floor.
Crowsteps; cavetto skewputts; end stacks; slate roof. Small
lean-to at rear.
Coped dry stone garden wall.

Statement of Interest

Referred to in 1840 as one of the principal farms in the

parish.
