Description

'Fortified' bridge: segmental arch, high enclosing rubble
walls, circular entrance arches with machicolations over,
circular towers at N.W., S.W. and S.E. corners and
2-storey 'keep' (The lodge) diagonally set at N.E. corner
(c. 1790 and presumably by John Paterson).
