Description

Lodge; probably Hesketh, 1863. Single storey and dormerless
attic, symmetrical SW 3-bay frontage to drive and SW gable
end to road. All coursed, bull-faced rubble with tooled
ashlar dormer Square projecting porch with side entrance
masks centre door, flanked by square headed windows in
pointed headed architraves; single similar windows in ground
and gabled attic of SE gable. Crenellated wallhead to both
porch and to SW frontage; 2-pane glazing exaggerated
crowsteps; coped wallhead stacks at N and E. slate roof.
Gate piers and gates; 3 square ashlar gate piers with shallow
pyramidal caps. Pair decorative cast- and wrought-iron
carriage gates and flanking matching pedestrian gate.
