Statement of Interest

Rebuilt on or near site of former manse.

James Loch in letter to Lady Stafford dated 25.9.1824;

"work going on at present .... . The greatest economy is

practised throughout. If the two last (the manses at

Golspie and Dornoch) could have been avoided they would,

but as both manses certainly require repair it was

neither possible nor wise to postpone them any longer.

They will be done with the utmost economy".

(Dornoch Manse repaired only. NSA)
