Description

A & W Reid, Elgin and Inverness, circa 1863. Pair single
storey and attic cottages, each 2 bays. All harl pointed
rubble with tooled ashlar dressings. Entrances masked by
original timber porches with lattice side panels and
decorative bargeboards; hoodmoulded flanking ground floor
windows and in ground floor of return gables; each cottage
with pair wallhead dormers with decorative bargeboards;
modern glazing to No 8, multi-pane glazing to No 9. Centre
coped ridge stacks; slate roofs. Centre original 2-storey
wing projects at rear flanked by later flat roofed, single-
storey extension.
