Description

Mid 19th century. Gothic, symmetrical 2-storey and attic,
3-bay house. Harled with ashlar dressings and margins.
Centre projecting shallow ashlar porch, gabled and
bargeboarded. Flanking pointed windows; 3 to 1st floor,
similarly detailed, rise through projecting eaves in
gablets. 2-bay flanks with similar window treatment.
Gothic glazing; 4 symmetrical corniced ridge stacks; piended
and platform slate roof.

Statement of Interest

Former Pluscarden Free Church Manse, though not originally

built for that purpose.

Purchase by Free Church 1888 with money raised by bazaar in

Elgin.

Appears on 1st edition OS, 1876.
