Description

Early 19th century. Walled garden, approx m x m, terraced, on rising ground to N of River Deveron. Rubble walls brick-lined or harled to garden, with Turriff sandstone quoins and coping. Pointed-arched gateways to N and S corners to E and W walls, with stone overthrows (missing to SW) and with spear-headed cast-iron gates. Walls rising in curved gable to N elevation; supporting lean-to, wood-framed greenhouses. Doorway to underground stair in terrace; possibly to potting shed.

3 PAVILIONS: 2 terminating walls at SW and SE corners, one very overgrown, outside walls to W. Pyramidal-roofed, with cast-iron finials.
