Description

Probably early 19th century. Piend-roofed 2-storey 3-bay

farmhouse with unusual stack arrangement, 2 transversely-set

stacks below roof ridge. Incorporaed at S end of courtyard

steading. Rubble-built with ashlar dressings, whitewashed to

court. S (main) elevation: central (modern) door with

rectangular fanlight, sash windows with 4-pane glazing

pattern. Roofed with graded slates. Low W wing.

Steading: Rubble and built mainly whitewashed; slate roofs.

E and W steading ranges with loft below eaves, and linked to

house; segmental-arched cartshed in W range; other openings square-headed.
