Description

Pre 1847. Circular tower dovecot. Rubble. Some red sandstone ashlar dressings. Doorway to S; ashlar jambs with stugged squared tails; lintel missing. Window to E, with granite lintel. Ashlar flat coping encircling top of tower (some missing). 2 ashlar panels, each with 3 flight-holes, at eaves level to S; remains of ledge to panel to left.

INTERIOR lined with brick, stone and slate nesting boxes.

The Dovecot is situated in Dove Cot Plantation, to the north of Corsewall House. The map reference is approximate, as the Dovecot is not marked on OS Map 1976, Sheet NX06NW.
