Description

James Soutar of Aberdeen, 1903. Large Scots Baronial villa;
2 storeys; built of grey Aberdeenshire granite, bull-faced,
with polished dressings, corbelling, crow-stepped gables and
strings. Near symmetrical south elevation has shallow
advanced outer gables with bartizans and with canted ground
floor windows, 3 narrow inner bays (door left) with
pedimented dormer heads above main eaves level. Tall 3-storey
entrance bay to west is curved, corbelled to square at top
storey, engaged crenellated circular turret in re-entrant
angle rises above.
