Description

Late 18th century. 2-storey, 3-bay, rectangular-plan, former farmhouse. Painted rubble, slate roof. 4-pane and plate glass sash and case windows, painted margins, brick end stacks with thackstanes.

S ELEVATION: door to centre, window to left, slightly enlarged window to right, 3 windows to 1st floor.

E GABLE: window to ground and 1st floor right.

W GABLE: mostly masked by S range of Longforgan farm steading (listed above).

N ELEVATION: single storey addition.

Statement of Interest

This former farmhouse is particularly noteworthy since it adjoins the south range of Longforgan farm steading. Together with the steading and the present Longforgan Farmhouse, this building forms a significant group within the village.
