Statement of Interest

This steading is unusual on account of its being of timber construction upon a concrete base, in appearance resembling amongst others, agricultural buildings of North America. Built by the Rossie Estate, it is prominently situated on the brow of a hill, and in an increasingly dilapidated condition. The single storey cottage to the eat is dated 1879, and not listed. The steading first appears on the 1900 OS map.
