Description

Earlier 19th century. Single storey, 5-bay, near- symmetrical,

rectangular-plan cottage on corner site with lean-to blocks and

Baronial E entrance gate formin L-plan. White-painted harl; quoin strips; rubble for E elevation with ashlar dressings.

N ELEVATION: 5 widely spaced bays with additional lower blank bay to outer right. Door at centre (modern); flanking windows.

E ELEVATION: lean-to, white-painted brick projection to outer right. Rubble, half-piended block to left extending S; entrance gate off-centre to left with gabled, rubble block to outer left.

E ENTRANCE GATE: round-arched, covered ashlar entrance, chamfered reveals, with crowstepped gablehead, cruciform arrowslit in gablehead; wooden boarded and studded door with decorative, cast-iron hinge; barred, small observation window; wooden inner frame with diminutive carved wooden gargoyles reliefs.

GARDEN GATE: slender, cast-iron piers with raised panels; pyramidal caps, wooden biparitite gate, narrow railings.

uPVC windows, plate glass sash and case window at penultimate

window to right. Grey slate piended roof; lean-to slate roof to

outbuildings to E elevation. Painted, coped ridge stacks; octagonal cans.
