Description

Circa 1820, 2-storey, symmetrical 3-bay farmhouse with single
storey gabled wing projecting at rear. L-plan. Rubble
whinstone with rubble sandstone to N elevations and grey
ashlar dressings.
S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: centre 2-leaf panelled doors with
panelled inner door and decorative fanlight. Tall windows
flanking and slightly smaller windows under eaves to each
1st floor bay.
N (REAR) ELEVATION: stair window at centre with projecting
single storey wing to right. Bipartite late 19th century
dormers added to wing and modern windows inserted to N.
Lean-to byre forming courtyard with L-plan house, running
from N to E.
W GABLE: 2 windows, ground to front, 1st floor to rear.
Conservatory added.
E GABLE: windows as on W gable.
12-pane glazing pattern to sash and case windows; 4-pane
glazing to bipartite dormers. Ashlar gable end stacks;
original cans. Grey slates.
