Description

Early 19th century. Single span bridge with broad, low
segmental arch. Rubble with channelled ashlar voussoirs,
hoodmould, bracketted string course to base of parapet, latter
droved coping intercepted by raised vertical stones.

Statement of Interest

Parapet form is common to many in East Lothian, and runs

well beyond the actual span here. A 2nd bridge in Gifford,

on Station Road, is listed separately.

Part of Gifford Village A Group.
