Description

Late 18th early 19th century with late 19th century
alterations to openings. Single storey row, originally of 10,
3-bay cottages, currently 7 with former doorways blocked.
Random purple rubble with droved cream ashlar dressings.
S ELEVATION: openings now irregular with some timber
mullioned bipartites inserted.
E and W gables blank; irregular and altered openings to N by
rising ground.
12-pane and 4-pane glazing patterns to sash and case windows.
Ashlar coped skews and regular, original ridge and end
stacks. Pantiles.

Statement of Interest

Listed B for retention of original plan and stacks, unusual length and absence of extensions. Redside farmhouse and steading to NE, listed separately. Cottages sited prominently on falling ground.
