Description

Probably 19th century. Single storey Hebridean-type thatched

cottage. 3-bay east front, with the rarer arrangement of door

in left. Single window in rear and in south short wall. Thick, rubble-built and battered walls with curved angles; limewashed. Off-centre ridge stack; heather thatch roof, secured with

netting, stone weights over inner wall-head.

Statement of Interest

In good condition.

Re-roofed circa 1955 (information per Mr MacDonald,

Locheport).

Shown on 1st ed O.S. (surveyed 1878).
