Description

Late 19th century. 2-storey and attic, wide 4-bay shops and dwelling. Dark local whinstone frontage with contrasting tooled ashlar dressings and long and short margins. Off-centre entrance flanked by shops, no 28 slightly wider than no 32. Main entrance with panelled door. Shops with original corniced and bracketted fascia supported by slender cast-iron columns. Bipartites in 1st floor outer bays; centre gablet with segmental-headed window with corniced lintel; canted slate hung

wallhead dormers in outer bays. Plate glass timber sash and case

glazing. Corniced end stacks; slate roof.
