S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: symmetrical elevation; central door; flanking windows. 3 1st floor windows centred above, at eaves. 2 windows to left wing.
W ELEVATION: house gable; 1st floor window to left. 2 windows to porch to left; plain gable to W wing.
N ELEVATION: Lean-to to right; window to left. Lean-to to left advanced further; window to right. Replacement windows. Modern porch to right; door.
E ELEVATION: 1st floor only seen; plain gable wall.
12-pane timber sash and case windows. Replacement timber and glazed doors. Pitched roof; replacement clay pantiles. Rear roof extends over later additions. Crowstepped gables to original house; gabled apex stacks.
INTERIOR: modernised late 20th century.
GARDEN WALL
Low rubble wall to front, E & W; curved at corners. Droved face to ashlar coping stones; central timber gate.
Very thick outer walls. Although gutted; the exterior retains its original appearance and character. Eley House has crowstepped gables and pitched pantiled roof and a 2-storey, 3-bay arrangement, features which are typical of many of Culross' small burgh houses.
