Description

Post 1876. Single storey curved corner block with classical details. Cream sandstone, tooled ashlar with polished dressings to principal facades, coursed rubble to rear. Base course; cill course; moulded band course above windows; eaves cornice with blocking course; shouldered and lugged architraved windows with ornamental cast-iron window guard/grilles; rusticated quoins.

NW (ACADEMY STREET) ELEVATION: 3-bay, slightly recessed curved corner bay with rusticated quoins to outer left. Architraved doorway to outer right with bracketted cornice, 2-leaf panelled door and segmental-arched plate glass fanlight. Single windows to centre and corner bay.

NE (ST ANDREW PLACE) ELEVATION: 3-bay with curved corner bay detailed as above; single windows.

SW ELEVATION: large flat-roofed harled extension to rear.

Timber sash and case windows, 6-pane top sashes, infilled lower sashes. Piended and curved slate roof with metal flashings.

INTERIOR: not seen 1993.
