Description

Circa 1850. 2-storey 4-bay double villa with single storey pavilions, pavilion at No 1 raised sympathetically to s-storey, rear projection at centre. Cream sandstone, ashlar front, squared and snecked stugged rubble to rear and sides. Base course; band course above ground floor; chamfered reveals.

E (FRONT) ELEVATION: elevation mirrored about centre with inner bays each comprised of corniced doorway with panelled door and rectangular fanlight (2-pane at No 1), tiled vestibule; single window at 1st floor above. Outer bays with full-height canted windows with half-piend roofs. 2-storey pavilion to No 1 slightly recessed with single windows ast ground and 1st floor. Single storey pavilion to No 3 with single window and piend roof.

W (REAR) ELEVATION: 2-storey rear extension to centre bays with piend roof and wallhead stack, single storey extension with half-piend roof abutting. Single windows to remaining bays. Various small modern extensions. S AND N ELEVATIONS: blank with short shouldered wallhead stacks to centre.

Timber sash and case windows with 8-pane glazing. Dark grey slate piend roof with metal flashings; 3 wallhead stacks (see above). Moulded eaves gutter.

INTERIOR: not seen 1992.

Tall rubble wall with semi-circular coping to rear and sides, low wall to front with flat coping, gates and railings to No 3.
