Description

Early 19th century. 4-storey and basement, simple classical 7-bay tenement (entered from rear), set back with front garden. Cream sandstone, coursed and squared rubble to basement, stugged ashlar with polished dressings above, coursed and squared rubble to rear. Rusticated ground floor; band course above ground floor; dentilled eaves cornice with blocking course.

SW (FRONT) ELEVATION: doorways alternating with single windows, deep-set panelled doors except No 79, distinctive astragal pattern to all fanlights. Single windows to each remaining bay at ground and each floor above.

NE (REAR) ELEVATION: single windows; 2 wallhead stacks (rebuilt).

NW ELEVATION: gabled with broad apex stack.

12-pane timber sash and case windows. Slate roof; 2 wallhead and apex stack (see above), mutual stacks (rebuilt).

INTERIOR: not seen 1993.

Low rubble wall to front, some iron railings.
