Late 18th century. 2-storey, 6-bay, asymmetrical long block of 2 paired houses. Rectangular-plan. Smooth render for 3 bays of no 11, wet dash to no 13. Cement- rendered margins.
N ELEVATION: No 11 and 13 comprised of 2 terraced houses originally of 3 bays each, now merged into one 5-bay house. 3 bay unit to left with door at centre, enlarged window to left and smaller window to right at ground. Window to left at 1st floor; enlarged windows at centre and right. 2 asymmetrical bays to right; window at ground and 1st floor of left bay; larger window at 1st floor outer right.
Plate glass sash and case and replacement plate glass, casement windows. Pantile roof with semi-circular coping to ridge, ashlar coping to skews. Squat, rendered and coped ridge stacks; evidence of thackstanes.
High Street was the principal street in Kirkliston and these houses form part of the old centre of the village and are listed for group value as such. The houses are marked on the 1st edition map of 1855.
