Description

David Bryce date 1874. Gates late gothic, 2 piers with
shafted angles, interlaced arches at top, console crowns,
elaborate cast-iron gates; railings simple spikes with
floriated finials at intervals.
David Bryce, c 1870. 4 simple stop-chamfered piers, railings;
lodge single-storey asymmetrical, courses, open porch,
bay window built out to square and gabled, shafted
chimneys; slated roof, bargeboarded gables.
David Bryce c 1870. Lodge similar to above, deep
parallel-walled approach.

2-storey and attic, asymmetrical, crowstepped and barge
boarded gables, taller section with bay corbelled to square
at attic south front, Tudor door-piece east front; later
and lower western extension in same style.

4-window wing on east with shafted chimneys; later eastern
addition.

Note: Carrington House (originally Dalmey House) of 1872

has been of the same type but has been much rebuilt.
