Description

Circa 1900.
Simple brick-built industrial renaissance, 6-storey, upper
4 floors in giant segmentally arched recesses. U-plan, two
6-window northern fronts to Slateford Road with gateway of
simple ashlar piers between, 12 windows down flanks, timber
modillioned cornice, piended slated roofs. 2 pairs of kilns
at back (south frontage) each treated with 3 giant arches at
2nd and 3rd floor level. Modern alterations within court and
on west flank.
