Description

George Wilson, 1880. 4-storey, 4-bay tenement , forming part of terrace. Squared and snecked sandstone with contrasting polished ashlar dressings. Base course; cill courses at 1st and 3rd floors; corbel table at 3rd floor stpeed down to 2nd floor between central bays; chamfered reveals. E ENTRANCE elevation: paired roll-moulded doorways in 3rd bay; panelled doors; border-gazed fanlights; single windows above; scrolled open pediment to 3rd floor window. Single windows in 2nd bay; scrolled open pediment to 3rd floor window. Gable with gablehead stack, scroll skewputts and kneelers linking 2nd and 3rd bays; blinded roundel set in gablehead. Full-height advanced tripartite windows in bays to outer left and right; dividing cornice at 1st floor; eaves cornice; piended roofs with lead finials. Plate glass sash and case windows surrounds painted at 1st floor to right. Grey slate roof; coped gablehead stack; coped mutual stacks; crowstepped gable adjoining tenement to N. INTERIORS: not seen 1991.
