Description

Circa 1880. 4-storey corner tenement angled to form part of crescent. Coursed sandstone with polished dressings. Base course; string course above ground floor; contrasting quoins; raised and lugged window surrounds. N WARRENDER PARK CRESCENT elevation: 7-bay, incl angle bay to NE and 3 bays angle to nw. Roll-moulded round-arched doorways with lugged surrounds and hoodmoulds in 2nd and 3rd bays; panelled doors; plate glass fanlights; single window between bays; windows at 1st floor linked by segmental-arched pediment with carved infill; single windows above; pedimented dormerheads. Venetian doorway in 5th bay; panelled door; plate glass fanlight; single windows above; pedimented dormerhead. 4-light angle bay; pyramidal roof; iron brattishing. Full-height canted window in 4th bay; pyramidal roof. Bipartite windows in advanced panel in gabled 7th bay. Single windows in 6th bay; crowstepped gable above.

E SPOTTISWOODE STREET elevation: 3-bay. Full-height canted window in 1stbay; pyramidal roof; iron finial. Single windows in remaining bays; pedimented dormerhead to 2nd bay; crowstepped gable above 3rd bay. Plate glass sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; 2 corbelled and corniced wallhead stacks; 2 corniced gablehead stacks; 2 corniced mutual stacks; beak skewputts.

INTERIORS: not seen 1991.

Cast-iron railings to Spottiswoode Street; replacement railings to Warrender Park Crescent.
