Description

A Cain, sculptor, 1866; to a design by R Bonheur. Cast
in Paris by F Barbedienne. Lifesize bronze group of
tigress, cubs and peacock. Resited in early 20th century
and now with low concrete base. White marble base (dated
1867) supporting polished pink granite pedestal by
Mossman. Inscription on W side recording the statue's
donor, John S Kennedy.
