Description

H and D Barclay, 1886, as Govanhill Public school.
Palazzo-style, tall 3-storey main block rusticated at
ground with pilastered centre doorcase, pedimented 1st
floor openings, 2-light top storey openings suppressed
below deep bracketted cornice. Ashlar; slate roofs.
Rusticated one-and-a-half storey flanking ranges, tall
rear range squared rubble. Original glazing throughout.
Iron-railed playground walls, square gatepiers.
