Description

Horatio K Bromhead, circa 1870. 4-storey classical tenement with modern shops. Polished ashlar, partly painted. 21 x 1 (canted, recessed corner bay) x 8 bays. Continuous ground floor mutule cornice and eaves mutule cornice. All windows sash and case in architraves; mainly 12-pane glazing. 4th, 11th, 12th and 18th bays from E on Sauchiehall Street blind, 1st return bay blind. 1st floor window on cill band with consoles, blocked frieze with rosettes, dentils, and cornice. 2nd floor windows with cornice breaking forward over consoles; consoles and shaped cornices, blind balustrade linking moulded cill band. Plain 3rd floor windows with cills and corbels. Central stacks and 1 scrolled, corniced wallhead stack to Sauchiehall Street (reduced), 3 to return. Slate roof.
