Description

Circa 1812. 2 storeys (raised) and full basement, classical
villa with later additions to front and rear; 3 bays.
Polished ashlar; droved ashlar to side and rear elevations.
All windows sash and case.
GROUND FLOOR: central Greek Doric portico with full
entablature (triglyphs, metopes, mutules and guttae) and fluted
columns, enclosed in later addition and painted; 2 tripartite
stone mullioned, pilastered windows with frieze and cornice,
etched glass to right, leaded glass to left.
1ST FLOOR: 3 single light windows in architraves with
corbelled cills, consoles, and cornices. Eaves band, cornice,
and blocking course. Low stack. Plain side elevations with
eaves band.
REAR ELEVATION: 3 bays, central stair well bay breaking
forward with corniced wallhead stack. Angle margins. Margined
windows and openings, eaves cornice. Mainly 12 pane glazing.
Symmetrical gable end stacks. Slate roof with 2 full width
skylights.
INTERIOR: Greek Ionic column screen in hall. Fireplace,
ground floor left.
