Description

Built circa 1880. Thomsonesque villa, concealed from
street, Egypto-Greek detailing to ramped doorcase and
over full-height projecting square bay left; stone-
cleaned snecked rubble, ashlar dressings, pilastered
mullions; glazing looks early 20th century, 4-pane upper
lights with coloured glass. Deep bracketted eaves;
stacks; slate roof. Modern conservatory on left flank;
rear wing now demolished. Good interior.
Boundary wall with 360 Albert Drive has cast-iron
railings to a design by Alexander Thomson; gatepiers are
battered and square, painted, inset below pedimented
caps (variant of pattern used on neighbouring houses).
