Later 19th century. Single storey and attic, 3-bay villa. Snecked
grey sandstone rubble, stugged, squared and coursed dressings. Base course; chamfered arrises; ashlar mullioned windows; stepped hoodmoulds to windows at ground; gabled ashlar dormers breaking eaves on S and W elevations with 2-light round-arched windows, bracketted cills to S and saw-tooth coping with bracketted skewputts. Wide eaves course on S and W elevations: cornice.
W (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: slightly advanced round-arched doorpiece to centre with panelled door, chamfered reveals with roll-moulding.
Doorway set in corbelled ashlar gablehead with saw-coping. Apex of gable abutting cill of gabled dormer breaking eaves directly above. Bipartite windows flanking at ground.
S (GARDEN) ELEVATION: 2 4-light windows at ground, gabled dormers breaking eaves above with 2-light round-arched windows.
N ELEVATION: garage abutting at NE angle with flat-roofed porch in re-entrant angle. Dormer breaking eaves to outer left. Mostly plaste glass sash and case windows. Grey/green piended slate roof; rooflight to N; corniced ashlar stacks with mostly square-plan moulded tapering cans, rendered coped stack to N.
BOUNDARY WALL AND GATEPIERS: rubble wall with gablet coping; square plan rusticated ashlar piers with pyramidal caps.
Very unusual squat design villa, possibly by William Spence. The detailing ofthe corbelled gable over the entrance is similar to taht at 104 Sinclair Street by Spence.
