Description

Earlier 19th century. 2-storey, 4-bay rectangular-plan vila. Cream squared and stugged sandstone rubble, coursed to N (entrance) and W elevations, droved ashlar margins. Base and eaves courses.

N (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: main house 3-bay to right, service bay to left; central fanlit door with bracketted block cornice, flanked by windows; hoodmoulded windows to each bay at 1st floor. Service bay slightly recessed, small windows at ground and 1st, corbelled eaves.

W (SIDE) ELEVATION: hoodmoulded window at 1st floor with bracketted cill.

S (REAR) ELEVATION: central stair window, modern window above and at ground to right, window at 1st floor. Bull blocks at 1st floor to right.

12-lying pane sash and case windows. Grey slate roof, ashlar coped skews, sandstone stacks at gabls and off-centre left.

BOUNDARY WALL: tall rubble wallw ith semi-circular coping, curved to SW.

Statement of Interest

The Bull blocks indicate that it was intended to continue the terrace at same height.
