Description

Mid 18th century with later alterations. 3-storey; basement
and attic, 5-bay symmetrical facade. Painted coursed
whinstone with ashlar dressings. Steps to central entrance
with early 19th century paired Doric columned doorpiece,
modern canopy inset. All windows set in moulded architraves,
cill course to 1st floor and eaves course and cornice. Gabled
slated roof with straight skews and scrolled skewputts, end
stacks and 3 late 19th century bipartite piended dormers.
Interior modernised. 2 rear wings flanking courtyard, south
with Doric pilastered doorpiece to 3-storey, 3-bay house,
north 3 storeys, 4 bays with lower west extension. 1st floor
with modified venetian windows.
