Description

Early 19th century. 3-storey and attic, 5-bay tenement.
Ashlar with angle pilasters. Later shops to ground floor.
Architraved 1st floor windows with alternate cornices and
pediments. 2-pane sashes. Centre window each floor blind.
Eaves cornice and blocking course with shouldered stack
now reduced. Slate roof with skews and bipartite dormers.
Corniced end stacks. 3-bay side-elevation to Christie
Street similarly detailed to front except sash windows at
ground and no architraves to 1st floor. Cornices over
ground and 2nd floors. Rear of rubble with ashlar dressings.
Rounded stairtower.

This tenement has classical detailing and forms a significant part of the streetscape.
