Description

Late 18th century. 3-storey, 3-bay rectangular warehouse/
storage building with long elevations N and S and with
forestair at W gable serving off-centre 1st floor entrance.
Mixed granite rubble, tooled granite dressings. 2 entrances
in S elevation, that to E with composite keystoned lintel.
Regular small shuttered windows in 1st and 2nd storeys of S
elevation. Shallow piended local slate roof.

Statement of Interest

Building said to have stored leather during Crimea War, the

then owner making a fortune in this and other merchandise.
