Description

Mid/Late Victorian Italianate 2-storey and basement polished
ashlar asymmetrical villa with 4-storey pyramid-roofed
entrance tower, Ionic columned and arched doorpiece, railed
steps, 1 canted bay through all floors on E and N fronts;
ground floor windows mostly pilastered with moulded stop
chamfers. 1st floor windows mostly nook-shafted with
shouldered heads, 3rd stage of tower has pairs of arched and
shafted windows, top stage triplets of round arched windows
in Doric pilastered angles. Unusual treatment of bays at
basement level with set-offs from square bases. Slated roof.
