Description

Later 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay, rectangular-plan gabled villa. Whinstone and sandstone rubble wth painted polished stone margins and dressings; chamfered reveals. Base course, quoins, decorative bargeboarded gables.

E (MAIN) ELEVATION: broad gable to outer left, canted bay at ground, pierced trefoil stone balustrade, window directly above (original bipartite, minus mullion). Narrow, gabled porch in re-entrant angle to right, 4-panelled door with anchor plaque above, window on right return; small dormerheaded window breaking eaves at attic. Bipartite window at ground right.

4-pane, plate glass sash and case windows. Graded grey slate roof, lead flashings; sandstone coped ridge stacks with octagonal cans.

BOUNDARY WALL AND GATEPIERS: whinstone walls with semicircular quartz coping; painted ashlar gatepiers with pyramidal caps.
