Later 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay villa on elevated site above Luss Village. Whinstone with red sandstone margins and dressings; cement rendered at sides and rear. Gabled dormerheads.
SE (MAIN) ELEVATION: crowstepped gable slightly advanced at centre, red sandstone door surround; stone balconette above continued as band course across centre bay; narrow flanking windows; pedimented window above; small window to left. Flanking bipartites at ground, pedimented dormerheads above.
SIDE AND REAR ELEVATIONS: white rendered gables and rear elevation.
uPVC 6-pane over plate sash and case windows. Grey slate roof, red terracotta cresting; broad corniced red sandstone ridge stacks.
The building is named as Cnoc-an-Airm on the 2nd edition map. It is now known as Carn Dearg, and is prominently positioned.
