Description

Mid 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay rectangular-plan cottage with flanking single storey, piend-roofed wings. Harled and painted with painted ashlar margins and dressings.

MAIN ELEVATION: gabled timber porch at centre, flanking bipartite windows at ground. Small round-headed window at centre at with gabled breaking eaves above; flanking dormerheaded windows. Single storey, piend -roofed block with window at centre.

6-pane casement bipartite at ground floor windows; 4-pane over 6-pane lying-pane windows at upper floor; 4-pane over 6 lying-pane glazing. Grey slate roof, lead flashings. Painted, coped stacks with octagonal cans.

Good example of traditional type of cottage popular in Dumbartonshire.
