Description

Mid 19th century. Single storey, 3-bay, long rectangular-plan asymmetrical cottage with 2-bay lean-to projection to N elevation. Drystone random rubble.

N ELEVATION: window in each bay to centrally disposed lean-to. Window in bay to left.

E (SIDE) ELEVATION: window offset to right; gablehead stack above.

Timber-framed windows. Traditional flagstone roof; stone ridge; corniced rubble gablehead and ridge stacks.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1998.

Statement of Interest

A cottage of traditional form which largely retains its original plan. Of particular interest are the flagstone roof, the substantial stacks and the drystone construction of the walls.
