Description

Dated 1880. High Victorian curiosity. 2-storey and attic
ashlar on corner site; 8-window (5 bipartites with cornice)
to Henderson Street, framed in Corinthianesque pilasters,
chamfered openings; modernised ground floor shops, 3
keyblocked segment-headed and consoled doorpieces framed in
pilasters: 8 pedimented dormers (5 bipartites); stepped
frontage to Union Street, 2 canted bays and single pedimented
dormer on left, 2 canted bays framing triplet of stilted
segment-headed doorways and single 1st floor window on right
pedimented dormers above (outer dormers bipartite): recessed
centre bay with segment-headed doorpiece and arched 1st floor
niche with segmental pediment masks change of level. All
windows and mullions pilastered, sculptured capitals ground
and 1st floors. Slated roofs.
