Description

Mid 19th century, restored 1993. Single storey, 4-bay, rectangular-plan pair of terraced cottages with projecting eaves. Whinstone and sandstone rubble with pink sandstone margins and dressings.

The principal southeast elevation has two central windows and 2-leaf boarded doors to the outer bays. The end elevations have a central window. The elevation facing the street has a plaque inscribed "Commemorating the restoration of Luss village 3 July 1993".

Timber diamond-pane casement windows. Graded grey slate roof with lead flashings. There is a pair of octagonal corniced stacks with octagonal cans to each cottage.

Statement of Interest

The building is shown on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map, surveyed in 1860. Identical pair with Avonlea and Ivybank, Fernlea and Ivy Cottage, Laurel Cottages and Ravenlea and The Sheiling and Rose Cottage.

Statutory address revised in 2016. Previously listed as 'Luss Village, Elmbank and Lonaigview'.
